Chinese New Year Parade Takes Place in Hollywood

On Saturday March 3rd the Chinese New Year's Goodwill parade started outside Mann's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. The event started around noon and ended at 2p.m. On Saturday 500 Beijing performers danced in the celebrations. The theme for the parade was the 2008 Olympics that will take place in Beijing. The Los Angeles municipal government along with Beijing sponsored the Chinese New Year parade Saturday. Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa attended the parade last weekend. (Photos: Saharra J.
